5.2.5 The Grievance Officers shall be responsible for assisting members of the bargaining unit with problems and concerns and for the processing of grievances according to appropriate procedures.

The chapter is seeking experienced, tenured faculty members interested in volunteering to serve as Academic Grievance Officer; the position reports directly to the Chapter president, and works closely with the NYSUT Labor Relations Specialist in assisting and advocating for fellow academics with work-related, contractual issues. Training and support are available and will be provided.
