UUP to host Pride forum June 28
UUP’s Gender and Sexuality Interests Committee will host a virtual Pride panel discussion, “UUP Pride Everywhere for Everyone,” on June 28.
The Zoom forum will be held at noon.
The panel will provide an overview of the resolution passed by the Delegate Assembly that gave the Gender and Sexuality Interests Committee its new name—it was previously known as the SOUL Committee, which stood for “Sexual Orientations United for Liberty,” an update on legislative action, and efforts to promote gender and sexuality-related UUP advocacy efforts at the state and federal levels.
Panelists are:
- UUP President Fred Kowal
- UUP Vice President for Professionals Carolyn Kube
- GSI Committee Chair and UUP statewide Executive Board member Kelly Keck
- American Federation of Teachers, Government Relations Maeve Kline; and
- UUP Director of Legislative & Political Affairs Chris Black.
